About Frrole
Frrole is a social newspaper built on top of Twitter. It currently covers 50+ cities and 5 countries. Using 10+ million tweets from and about these cities, Frrole creates a 'by the people, about the people' newspaper for each city, country and the whole world.
Inside its guts, Frrole analyzes Twitter data city by city, filtering out 'noise' and pulling out 'information'. These informative tweets are then clubbed into different categories like Events, Sports, Deals etc. (just like a newspaper) and presented to the consumer. Frrole thus gives the consumer a brand new way of discovering his city and his world and finding out what it is up to!
The Gap
Information availability and discovery today has a few gaps:- The amount of information available online through social media sources is increasing at a pace faster than it is being processed. Most of the popular social media tools today involuntarily contribute to increasing information instead of reducing it.
- Collective knowledge of the crowd is more than the knowledge of any professional group, but it is equally tough to make sense of the crowd's knowledge.
- Currently, people discover about their surroundings through sources put together by professional teams - locally targeted websites, online news sources etc. Additionally, they do so by following friends, popular local people etc over the social web.

Frrole has the ability to provide information that is contextualized, democratized and real-time. We dream of making this information ubiquitously available.
